The Alaska Missions Trip: The Sixth Day ( and on this Day God made man...)

"The image of God always abides in the soul, whether this image be obsolete and clouded over as to amount to almost nothing; or whether it be obscured or disfigured, as is the case with sinners; or whether it be clear and beautiful as is the case with the just."

Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica

" Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."

Colossians 3:23-24 (ESV)

The final full day in Alaska has passed onto the pedestal of memories, and the trip ended with a bang. Now all that is left is to make it through Monday and fly back to good old Colorado.
During the day we were lucky enough to go over to James place and have a "picnic" bbq, meeting Isaac who caught us our crabs and finally lining up a drive along the Alaskan coast line. After the meal was finished we hopped in James van and took some amazing pictures of the coast, along with a picture of a tired Lori and Conner slumped over as we went to the train in the middle of nowhere. It was a train that couldn't barge across Alaska, so after a storm ruined the preexisting tracts they were left to rust.
Ethan, who had been collecting walking sticks all week found the smallest one yet along the coast by the trains, but couldn't bring it back for obvious reasons.
While the team was still out on the road trip, we lucked out on finding a group of Muskox to take a picture of.
We then returned back to the church, talking about the week and planning the next day's trip home...
Thank you to whoever prayed for this adventure/trip, your support was a God send(literally) as we encountered different difficulties throughout the week but were still able to press through. The fact our church can be adding light to places and churches that need the help is not a position to take for granted. We are in a spiritual battle and whatever we may do in the name of Christ holds power.
We now look to return home, better people in Christ from the experience we gained, friendships that were made providing better understanding of the different culture, and a willing heart to share the gospel where we call home.
